The State Capital of Idaho is Boise, also known as the larges state city. Idaho has also other 44 counties. Idaho covers a grand total of 83.642 Sq Mi, with a width of 305 miles and length of 479 miles, with a total population of 1.393.262 habitants.
This state has one of the largest, unspoiled natural areas in the US, snow-capped mountain ranges, rapids, placid lakes and scenic areas. It has 3 major rivers: Snake River, Clearwater River and Salomon River; as well as nine national parks, and many wild life refuges that contain amazing national conservation areas.
The State of Idaho has great variations of weather in between the summer and winter seasons, although during the summer time climates over 100 degrees are not very extensive. Winters can be cold, but temperatures below zero are very rare, with an average of 17 degrees.
In its economy, Idaho averages an income per capital of U$S26, 881 a year. This state produces a little more than one third of the potatoes grown in the US. Its largest industry is science and technology, with other important industries such as lumber and wood products, the processing of food, chemical products, paper products, electronic manufacturing, mining, and tourism. Idaho also has the largest barrel cheese factory in the world, located in Gooding.
Education in Idaho started on 1860 with the creation of its first public school, reaching these days to a grand total of seven public, and seven private institutions.
